How to root Samsung Gio(SCH-i569) with SuperSU

    Note:

    (1)Rooting will void your phone warranty, and you won’t claim it back.
    (2)Follow the steps correctly otherwise you may brick your device. We are not responsible for any damage of your phone.
    (3)It will erase all your personal data including data of internal storage, so we advise you first to take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.
    (4)Ensure that your phone has at least 50-60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the process.

    Pre-requisites

    Enable‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times. Connect your phone to the PC.

    Download SuperSU.zip on your PC and copy it to your phone sd card.
    Download and install Samsung Galaxy USB Driverson your PC .
    Download Latest Odin Tool on your PC and extract the zip file.
    Download Official TWRP Recovery for Samsung GalaxyGio(SCH-i569) on your PC and extract the zip file.

    Steps to Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Samsung GalaxyGio(SCH-i569)

    (1) Enter into download mode: turn off your phone and press and hold the ‘Home + Volume Down + Power’ buttons together until you see the download mode screen.

    (2)Run the Odin_v3.10.7.1exe file on your PC.
    Once you enter into Download mode, you see an ID: COM port turned blue and Added message in Odin message box means your device has recognized by Odin.
    Note: If ID: COM doesn’t show means your driver is not correctly installed or try it with different USB cable.

    (3)Now locate and add the twrp-3.0.0-xxx.img.tar file (you downloaded from above) to the AP/PDA tab in Odin.

    Make sure that only tick “F.Reset Time“option. Do not tick option Auto Reboot.

    (4) Now click ‘Start‘ button and it will start flashing the file. Wait until you see ‘Pass‘ in Green Color on Odin screen.

    Install SuperSU

    Reboot your Samsung into Recovery Mode .

    (1)Power off your phone and wait for 6-7 seconds until the display shutsdown completely. Then press and hold Volume Up, Power and Home until the Samsung logo appears on the screen.

    (2)Select ‘Install’ and scroll all the way to the bottom till you see the ‘SuperSU.zip’ file.

    (3)Select the .zip file and swipe the bar to confirm. This will start flashing the .zip file.

    (4) Once the flashing finished you will see the ‘Reboot System’ option, click it to reboot your device.

    Once the device reboots, you will see the SuperSU app appear in your app menu. You can also confirm if your device is rooted by installing and running the Root Checker application.
