  • alt text

Google unveiled the new Nexus 7 and TeamWin has already released a new version of its TWRP custom recovery for the tablet. The procedure to get the TWRP custom recovery running on the device is pretty simple, which will then allow you to flash root.

If you are lucky enough to already have got your hands on the new Nexus 7, we have brought you the recipe to root your device using TWRP. Unlock your bootloader before you start cooking.

Safety Warning: Rooting your device may void its warranty and we won’t be responsible for any harm caused to the device.

    Ingredients needed:

    TWRP Image

    SuperSU zip file

    The Procedure:

First load the SuperSu file to Nexus 7’s internal storage and TWRP image to the folder containing ADB and fastboot.
Reboot to bootloader: type “adb reboot bootloader” in cmd. (Make sure you have USB debugging enabled and all drivers and Android SDK installed)
Type in cmd: “fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-”
Reboot into recovery: type “adb reboot recovery”
Voila! Your TWRP Rooted Nexus 7 is ready to be served.
