unlocking bootloader & rooting
Hi I just purchased a Huawei mediapad T2 Pro and I'm having a very difficult time I'm trying to unlock the bootloader so that I'm able to root this device so if anyone can please help me in any way form or fashion because I am new two the Android system and really want to break out and get the best out of my phone so if anyone can help me the best way they can that would be greatly appreciated
@lordelijah.77 hi there, it seems that the same situation occured to me , and did you solve it?
Huawei has a quite strict policy on unlocking your phone. Usually you would have to log in for 14 (consecutive?) days to be eligible for unlock.
Go to website: https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download and follow the procedures. It’s quite a long procedure so take your time.
Once you finish the unlocking, the rest is pretty easy:
Download TWRP from their official site and find your own device
Download the adb tool
Reboot to bootloader
Rename TWRP as recovery and copy it to folder. Right click and select command
Type in “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img”. Wait for it to finish and type in “fastboot reboot” and wait for phone to reboost.
Move SuperSU to the internal memory of your cellphone. Find the best-suited SuperSU (namely v2.79 and v2.64)
Boost into recovery, install SuperSU by sliding it right in
And… that should get you all set XD
