Samsung J5 root/ not rooted
My phone reports that it has root existence but super su says that no root existence exists and offers me a how to root option. What's going on guys any ideas? My phone was rooted then after upgrading the os it was neither rooted nor un rooted. I i stalled genuine stock firmware from Samsung and my phone claimed to be genuine and no root existence, today I installed Kingo latest version and 1st it just says Kingo was unable to start and supersu says no root detected but I have a samsung phone info app (detailed info on everything) and that has now changed to say root existence - yes and I seem to have wasted the last week getting no further than I was. Does anyone have any tips for me please?
Hi guest, if your phone's android number is higher than 6.0, then the problem you mentioned requires you to do a factory reset with stock image. This problem happens when root checkers only check a certain folder in your system and scan if there is any SU presence
To root with SuperSU, you will have to follow the Samsung guide from top to bottom, and that requires the zip, Odin and TWRP.
