If you are having trouble rooting your Cherry Mobile Flare S3 using conventional methods, you can try this one. We will install a custom recovery to your unrooted Flare S3 and, eventually, flash the SuperSU app. It has been tested on v07, v08 and v10 but we are still waiting for the feedback of the users who tried it on v11 and v1.03.

Rooting and installing custom recovery to your Cherry Mobile Flare S3 will void all the manufacturer’s warranties. You are responsible for any loss of data or a phone damage if anything goes wrong.

How to Install CWM to Cherry Mobile Flare S3

    Please, follow the procedure carefully.

    1. Download the following files:
      • SPF Tool and MT6582 Scatter file for FS3
      • PDAnet driver for Windows
      • CWM Recovery image

    2. Make sure to enable USB debugging on your device. Connect the device to the PC and install PDAnet or ADB driver. After the installation, disconnect the phone from the computer and reconnect it again.

    3. Extract the SPF Tool folder and scatter it from the zip file. Transfer or copy the scattered file to the SPFT folder.

    4. Copy the CWM recovery image and paste it to the SPFT folder.

    5. Open the SPF Tool Folder and run Flash Tool.exe.

    6. Click Scatter Loading tab and locate the scattered file from the SPFT folder.

    7. Make sure that no other options are ticked and marked and no other files are loaded, except for the recovery tab.

    8. Double click Recovery tab and locate cwm recovery.img from the SPFT folder.

    9. Disconnect your device from the computer and remove the battery.

    10. Click DOWNLOAD on the Flashtool and immediately connect the device to the PC. After a few seconds, insert the battery.

    11. Wait for the flashing to finish. A green circle will appear when the CWM flashing has been successful.

    4. Select the zip from the SD card and locate/select the downloaded file.

    5. Select Yes and wait until the flashing is finished.
